Conceived by tabletop RPG expert Ginny Di and featuring 20 boon and 20 bane cards, all stunningly illustrated by Tim Foley, this deck will help you advance player goals or hurl them (and your story) in an entirely different direction. Upon drawing a bane card, for example, a character might suffer a curse that threatens to strangle them the more active they are. However, pulling a boon could very well bestow a blessing from a higher power, such as a pair of guardian wolves that travel with the character wherever they go. The exact composition of the deck is up to the GM. The boons are a great temptation―but drawing a bane could bring about a ruinous result. Players will need to weigh the odds every time.
The deck also comes with a companion book, including a description of each card’s effect and how it impacts the PC who drew it, as well as 80 side quest ideas (two for each card) and helpful recommendations for scaling card effects up or down depending on the level of the characters drawing from the deck.

LOVE the packaging! Such a great resource! Very well made!
I am very satisfied with this! They genuinely get my creative juices flowing, the art is amazing, they have a very tarot card vibe, and I cant wait to use them in game to both mess and reward my players/friends. I also got "Corruption of Alder Glen" but I want tonwait till I run that before review it, but both were delivered very quickly. I was worried, based on ither reviews that the guide book would be blurry or hard to read, and while a bit small, I didnt find it hard to read at all. Definitely worth a buy. Plus it's nice to support Ginny Di after bingeing her videos

The artwork is fantastic and the fact there is a guidebook that explains each boon and bane is great. The only problem I have is the print in the guide book is so small I can barely read it. The guidebook should be made bigger or perhaps put what each card does on the back of the card.

It adds a good bit of fun to our sessions. Wish I could have met and had it signed.
Great product.Ginny obviously put a lot of work and thought into this deck. The art is great. My only wish is that you would also be able to get a PDF version of the booklet when you buy it, because the print is a little small for my liking (which certainly does help with portability to be fair).

My table loved it, the Deck master's deck of boons and Banes adds a little more Chaos to an already chaotic game and it was great. The art is beautiful and the outcome of the cards sent a player R.O.F.L.M.A.O.ing off his Chair. It was a great session. The only thing I would Suggest is the Book being Available in PDF as well.
Amazing high end build quality and gaming aid with a load of amazing concepts to really make a difference on those days when self inspiration is not on your side.
One thing that would have made this aid quicker to implement would have been if the cards had been labeled with boon or bane in addition to the name of the card for easier sorting. Offsetting this issue is that the beautiful artwork often depicts enough for you to guess correctly. Once you have read the description of the card you will easily recognize it and know.
Over all, fantastic product and something that is easily worked into your game and something I will be using for additional punch and surprise in my adventures
